It appears someone snuck into the lab and created a helmet that’s part modular, part motocross. The Elsinore Monotype Helmet has an under-the-radar color scheme, but that just makes the unique lines of the design stand out that much more. This helmet arrives with a Fog-Free DarkSmoke MXShield™ installed, and the whole front lifts for modular functionality. The shell is handmade from a lightweight composite fiberglass.

Part modular, part motocross

Exterior

The Elsinore™ helmet is a motorized tribute to our youthful BMX days of quarterpipes and bunnyhops. Equipped with a removable modular face mask, riders can now adapt to ever-changing environments while keeping up a barrier against wind and debris. It features a lightweight, handcrafted composite shell construction the modern rider requires.

Shield

The quick-change Fog-Free MXShield™ is integrated with the modular face mask. It provides maximum visibility with zero distortion in all weather conditions, while the non-lift integrated visor reduces glare.

Interior

The Elsinore features a premium Ax®Suede comfort liner with Moisture-Wicking Hydradry™ that provides a snug and contoured fit. Air from the vents is channeled between the comfort liner and the protective energy-absorbing EPS foam liner to create a nearly perfect rider-focused interior. The airflow works in conjunction with the Hydradry™ liner to effectively reduce heat build-up. Combine the superior venting with the modular face mask, and you're left with our most versatile shell yet.

HelmLink

Bluetooth Communicator (Sold Separately)

The Elsinore features an all new approach to connectivity with fellow riders. ICON worked together with SENA Communications to develop a bluetooth communicator system that seamlessly replaces the side plates and rear neckroll of the Elsinore for a fully integrated system. Industry leading mesh technology and Bluetooth 5 capabilities allow you to connect with up to 20 riders. Housed inside the rear control unit lies an extra long battery life for those cross-country rides as well as an integrated rear-facing adaptive flashing light for heightened visibility.

    Choosing the Correct Helmet Size

Helmet fit is critical to helmet protective performance. Different helmets fit differently due to differences in design and construction. The correct helmet size can only be checked and confirmed by physically fitting the helmet to the user. Always try the helmet on in a store, before purchasing it, to be sure you are purchasing the correct sized helmet for you.

    Helmet Sizing Information

To achieve proper helmet fitment, begin by finding your head circumference size using the method described. Remember that the helmet size you choose should fit around the crown of your head comfortably with no pressure points. The cheekpads should fit firmly around your face. Once your chin strap is fastened, grab the chin bar of the helmet and move it side to side. Your cheeks should move with the helmet, which should not slide across your face. Different thickness cheekpads can be purchased to obtain the best fit.

    Head Measurement Instructions

Wrap a flexible tape measure around your head approximately one inch above the eyebrows and ears. Use this measurement (in either inches or centimeters) to find your helmet size in the chart to the right.
